Iain Shedden Spin Doctor

Humbling comments from The Australian’s ‘Spin Doctor’, Iain Shedden about my Tamworth Regional Gallery show with the talented Melody Pool.

“…once in a blue moon a gig surpasses all expectations, slapping you in the face with its grace, majestic singing, the quality of the material and, in this instance, the acoustic ambience of the venue.

Such was the performance in the city’s Regional Gallery last week by Australian artists William Crighton and Melody Pool, who in union on each other’s songs and on a handful of covers such as the Divinyls’ Pleasure and Pain and the Seekers’ I’ll Never Find Another You, demonstrated music’s power to stir the heart and soul.

In my all-time Top 10, that one.
